ROBLOX Studio Splash Screen Contest: The Winners

We were blown away. Not just by the sheer amount of entries we received for our ROBLOX Studio splash screen contest (over 3,000!), but by the amount of ingenuity, creativity, and talent on display in each of the entries. We had originally postulated that we’d be choosing five winners–but we just couldn’t distill that much awesome into five winning slots. So we’ve expanded our circle to include 10 winners, each of whom will receive the prize of 20,000 Robux.

We’ll also be featuring one of the 10 winning splash screens each week moving forward to give you 10 awesome weeks of custom ROBLOX Studio loading screens. After those 10 weeks are up, we’re going to show more of the entries on a regular basis in an effort to ensure that the Studio splash screen is always a design submitted by one of our users. Believe us, you guys sent more than enough to last, ahem, a few years.

We’re in need of some graphic designers! That’s right, if you’re proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator, GIMP, Paint, or any other design/art software, we have a project for you. We need a new splash screen for ROBLOX Studio, and like nearly all facets of our platform, we thought it’d be cool to ask you to build one! On August 31st we launched a game trailer video contest (it’s not too late to enter – the submission deadline is Monday Sept 10th). There have been more than 200 entries so far, and many of them are fantastic. The staff is still going through submissions and we’re evaluating different methods for picking winners. Directors! ROBLOX is hosting a game trailer video contest. For the next 10 days, uploading a video trailer to your game page is 50% off. Furthermore, all new trailers added to ROBLOX games in the next 10 days will automatically be entered into a contest. We will reward the creators of the top five new trailers with fabulous virtual trophies and 20,000 ROBUX each.

As you may remember, we first added the ability for a ROBLOX game to have a 30-second video trailer back in April. And, because we think this feature is awesome, we’re actively promoting its use.
