This weekend we bring you four new pieces of gear, all of which are really fun!
RC Car – Drive around in style, for fun or tactical advantage. Simply click the steering wheel of the RC Car to deploy (or click again to bring it back to you), and use the regular walking keys (WASD) to move your new vehicle. The best part is, no battery changing required!




Fire Extinguisher – We realize here at ROBLOX HQ that with all the new fire spreading so rapidly, it might be a good idea to have a way to combat wildfire. Direct the extinguisher at any fire you wish to put it out, although it isn’t guaranteed all fire will stay out for good…





Torch – Now for those of you that probably don’t care for the fire extinguisher (or maybe you just like to cause a bit of mischief every once and awhile), you might want to check out the torch. Just like fire, the torch will catch objects it comes into contact with on fire, but only if it is the right material…




Barrel – Specifically designed to showcase the strength of Robloxians, the barrel can be thrown to great distances, pummeling those in its 8-bit way.

Today is the last scheduled day of the egg hunt, but we are thinking about running it for an extra couple of days towards the end of this week. Happy weekend everybody! I’m really excited about the gear coming out soon, two of our items feature fire! If you haven’t heard, fire is a new feature we released, and works similar to the way smoke and sparkles work currently. I can’t wait to see what all you creative Robloxians do with it!

US Military Top Secret Experimental Jetpack- Reach all new heights with JetPack! Simply point the camera up to reach the heavens, or down to plant your feet back on the Earth. You can also move around while flying like you normally would (WASD keys). Be careful to watch your fuel gauge however, as you might fly too close to the Sun and run out of juice!

Epic Sauce – While on the topic of liquid, we have concocted a special sauce that only one word can describe: Epic. The Surgeon General of Robloxia does warn however that it may be too hot for some Robloxians, well actually all Robloxians.





Barrel O’ Monkeys – Free the Mad Maroon Monkeys from the Big Blue Barrel! Just don’t be around when they do get free, just trust me on that…

We know it’s important that every player feels safe. So with our new social features we’re also adding some new privacy features! The new privacy features affect four areas of the ROBLOX social scene:

• Chat – for website chat
• Party – for the new Party group chat feature coming
• Private Message – for private messages
• Follow – for the feature to follow friends into Games

To change your settings go to the Account section of your profile. At the bottom of the page you will see the Privacy Matrix! It’s not actually a matrix but that sounded kind of cool. You can set each feature to your most comfortable setting of privacy.

ROBLOX is eggcited to invite our users to Eggstravaganza 2010! Eggstravaganza is an exciting egg hunt that will be going on for the next couple of days – beginning at 3:00PM (PDT) on Wednesday, July 21st. At predetermined times – eggs will rain from the sky in every ROBLOX game. Once it starts raining eggs – the hunt is on! Get in game and start trying to get the eggs before other players do. Each type of egg behaves differently, so you’ll have to figure out how to earn each one.

This week we have some interesting new gear, mostly all user generated ideas. I hope everyone has as much fun using it as I did creating it!

Vine Staff – For those of you with green thumbs, protect yourself from your enemies with Mother Nature. Creates a shield of vines, which are impenetrable.

Blunderbuss – Too many Robloxians coming at you in all directions? The blunderbuss randomly fires projectiles in all directions of the target direction, insuring that even if you aren’t a good shot, you’ll hit something.





Terrible Trident – Coming straight from Poseidon, this trident will strike fear in the hearts of it’s victims. But seriously, it will literally go through Robloxians. Click once to thrust the trident forward, double-click to launch it!





Ninja Plushie – He may look cute, but this ninja is full of surprises. Simply throw at any object and instantly camouflage yourself.
