BLOXcon Is the New RGC 2013

If you’ve been around ROBLOX for a while, you might know a thing or two about our annual fan convention. First, it was the ROBLOX Rally. Then it was the ROBLOX Game Conference. For 2013, we’ve decided to debut a new name: BLOXcon! This year, we’re focusing not just on games, but building – the core of ROBLOX – and we felt the old name didn’t do the new direction justice.

Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard

ROBLOX puts great effort into developing unified code that runs across multiple platforms – PC, Mac and soon iPad – on a wide variety of hardware and software configurations. This summer, as we ratcheted up development efforts for ROBLOX on mobile devices and tablets, we found the software we use to compile our code was only compatible with either Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or mobile devices. ROBLOX’s Mobile Site, m.roblox.com, Now Live for Testing

Mobile ROBLOX ProfileROBLOX is a big platform. While each of our development teams has its own areas of focus, goals and projects, there’s been an overarching objective in recent months: make ROBLOX a more mobile-friendly platform. Today, we took a step forward by launching a mobile ROBLOX website at m.roblox.com.

M.roblox.com is not yet the default landing page for mobile traffic, but it’s now available for our dedicated blog readers to try. We’re seeking your feedback regarding what works well, what could work better and what features you’d like to see in the future. You can let us know in this article’s comments or on our dedicated mobile forum; just remember to note the mobile device you’re using when feeding back.
